The Research Cell of the College of Dentistry (COD), Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry (LCMD), was established on 26 August 2021 with the mission of promoting and strengthening research activities among faculty members and academic units. It serves as a central hub for scholarly activities, scientific inquiry, and intellectual creativity, fostering a culture of research, innovation, and evidence-based practice within the institution.

The Research Cell aims to facilitate research collaboration, support the development and dissemination of quality research, and establish links with research sponsors and funding agencies to enhance the institution’s competitiveness in securing research grants. Through these initiatives, it strives to create an intellectually stimulating research environment that advances academic excellence, strengthens healthcare research, and promotes evidence-based solutions to local and national community health challenges.

Functions Of Research Cell

• To create an enabling environment within the college in order to foster a research culture as well as provide required support through research framework and guidelines.
• To ensure a high level of efficient and effective support system to facilitate faculty and students in their research activities.
• Ensure publications in indexed journals, with impact factor.
• Forge interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships nationally and globally
• To generate abstract books and annual reports each year.
