Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry (LCMD) traces its origin to the year 2000, when a small shrub was planted in the name of Shaheed-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Memorial College of Dentistry, as a memoir as well as token of admiration to the first prime minister of Pakistan Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan.
By the Grace of Almighty (SWT) we had celebrated our silver jubilee of its establishment. LCMD stands as the fruitful tree with all its enthusiasm and exuberance being a center of distinction in dental and medical education.
Born on the map of Karachi, Pakistan and duly recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) Commission, it is one of the very few initial colleges private or public sector that were in the center of the city devoted to teaching of dentistry and medicine and ultimately promoting health care services in the community.
Initially affiliated with SIR SYED UNIVERSITY, it came under the umbrella of University of Karachi, in 2002. Since 2014 it is being nurtured by Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) as per ordinance 2012 of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
