Teacher's Day 5th of October, 2023

On the 5th of October, 2023, a heartwarming and memorable event titled "Teacher's Day - A Tribute to the Guiding Stars" was organized by the management of Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry (LCMD). The purpose of this event was to express deep appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated teachers who illuminate the path of knowledge for the students.

The event, resplendent in shades of purple and silver, was orchestrated under the able guidance of Prof. Dr. Navid Rashid Qureshi, the Principal of the College of Dentistry, LCMD. Dr. Asad Farooq served as the Chief Organizer, with a passionate team of organizers including Dr. Rizwan Hassan, Dr. Asma Shahid, Mr. Moiz Majid, Dr. Saba Shahid, and Dr. Maha Khan, all of whom worked tirelessly to ensure its success while maintaining the elegant color scheme.

A distinguished guest, Counsellate General of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. June Kuncoro, graced the occasion with his presence, adding prestige to the event.

The event commenced with a powerful Quranic translation of Surah Alaq, delivered by the talented students of the 2nd year BDS Talha Bhatti, and Urdu translation by Abdul Rafay, with the stage adorned in beautiful purple and silver accents, setting the tone for the day and emphasizing the profound importance of teaching in the lives of students. The event embraced the international spirit by playing the national anthems of both Indonesia and Pakistan. This gesture was a show of solidarity and support for our neighboring country, Indonesia, fostering goodwill and celebrating the shared values of education that unite our nations.
