Trauma & Emergency Care Workshop
Darul Sehat Hospital successfully organized a one-day Trauma & Emergency Care Workshop, titled 'From Scene to Stabilization: Saving Seconds, Saving Lives', under the auspices of the Department of Orthopaedics. The workshop was designed to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of House Officers, Residents, and Paramedics in managing trauma and emergency situations. Emphasis was placed on early assessment, rapid stabilization, and life-saving interventions through interactive lectures and hands-on skill stations. Key learning areas included triage, primary and secondary survey, management of life-threatening injuries, identification of head and spinal trauma, and basic life support. Participants received structured, supervised training in essential emergency procedures such as log roll, helmet extraction, cervical collar and pelvic binder application, splinting, tourniquet use, wound dressing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and chest tube placement. The workshop was led by experienced faculty members who ensured a high standard of practical instruction and participant engagement. Certificates were awarded to all attendees upon successful completion of the program. This initiative reflects Darul Sehat Hospital's continued commitment to medical education, clinical excellence, and capacity building for frontline healthcare providers, ultimately strengthening trauma and emergency care services.
