Our mission is to create awareness in the society about Nursing & Allied programs and its importance in hospitals. Focus on patient care, promoting safe and sound care in the most optimum setting as possible.
Nursing & Allied Health Sciences education is the main workforce inpatient care but is facing an acute shortage in Pakistan. The sister concern Liaquat College of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Navid Rashid Qureshi, Dr. Rashid Naseem Khan has taken the responsibility to promote a high quality of Nursing & Allied education in Pakistan to meet up the deficiency. Mr. Gohar Ali, Principal of Nursing College is fully responsible for administration and academics. We have introduced the L.P.N. (Licensed Practical Nurse) and other allied programs. These are cost-effective diploma programs which are conducted under the highly qualified teaching staff. The training facility is provided by our renowned Darul Sehat Hospital & Qamar Dental Hospital.
One-year diploma of nursing assistant which was started in 2011 has been a very effective program. Many of our graduates are now serving in different hospitals and laboratories. Now we have introduced a new course of nursing that is licensed practical nurse (LPN) for only female candidates approved by the Pakistan Nursing Council. We introduced this course in 2015. The college has completed its admission of the first batch and the classes are in progress. We are now looking forward to moving higher towards the bachelor of nursing. We will start this bachelor’s degree program with theapproval of the Pakistan Nursing Council.
Many of the following Allied Health Sciences courses which were started in 2003
have left a great impact on hospital industries, DENTAL HYGIENIST, DENTAL
SURGERY ASSISTANT, O.T. TECHNICIAN, LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, X-RAY TECHNICIAN,
I.C. U TECHNICIAN, ECG TECHNICIAN. These courses have not only benefited the
students but also were useful to the hospital. Under this consideration, we have
taken permission from Sindh Medical Faculty to introduce the following new
courses in the better interest of the community at large, ANESTHESIA TECHNICIAN,
DISPENSER TECHNICIAN, OPHTHALMOLOGY TECHNICIAN & PHYSIOTHERAPY TECHNICIAN.
These courses are already in session and we hope Insha’Allah these will give
good results.
